I'd bet half that time was taking off the grille! Somebody should do a writeup on grille removal of the GMT900 trucks. They suck!

Nice work on the FMIC, looks great!

Thanks everybody! I got the oil pan mounted with the return fitting welded in this past saturday, and drilled and tapped the allen fitting on the stock oil cooler line block for the oil feed while I was under it. All thats left is to run the intercooler piping this weekend, bolt on the actual turbo, manifolds, crossover, and to tune it. But, its the tuning thats holding me back from doing all of it this minute. Just dont have 700 bucks lying around to go blow on the truck....

Bumping an old thread but this just answered every question I had.

What FMIC did you go with? Pretty sure I am going to copy your idea. =)

That is my old set up when it had the 5.3, but it was an eBay IC. The dims were 24x12x3, with 2.5 inlet/outlet. The truck made 558 on 10psi and meth, and for how cheap it was, it did a good job keeping the IATs down. Id recommend it, but with 3' in/outlet.

Geoff at EPS is who does all my tuning. 700 is his flat rate for anything FI that has to be tuned from the ground up, like mine needed. But, I have to give him much props here. He worked on my truck till 1130pm that day. I had a coupler blow off EVERY time we made a pull on the dyno, and he just kept on trying to get it right for me. I think we had over 20 dyno pulls that day.
