Another reason the header wrap might rot the pipes is that the temperature inside the pipe inceases to the point where the steel starts to burn. Anything over 2000*F is making mild steel unhappy, how hot do you guys think your egt's are?

Did you spray paint your exhaust first, wrap, and paint agian? I think the coats of paint will help protect the exhaust pipe... I think! I liked the vht paint the best.

That's great news!!! How many rolls did you use? Summit has a deal right now where if you buy 2 50' rolls and a can of paint you get the ties fo' free.
That'll be nice to have a little more boost when rolling in 5th, because I'm too lazy to downshift sometimes.
