Yeah, I was thinking of useing that but the price started to get alittle high after 3 rolls of wrap. I think I will try that later.

Another reason the header wrap might rot the pipes is that the temperature inside the pipe inceases to the point where the steel starts to burn. Anything over 2000*F is making mild steel unhappy, how hot do you guys think your egt's are?

My high temp coated STS pipes delaminated the coating and rusted bad. They are only mild steel pipes under that coating. This is why I did not paint them before putting the wrap on, I never thought the coating would come off so bad, but even on my intake pipe that had a heat sheild fabric around it started to rust. The coating seems to be very thin, almost non-existant.

Any updates on wrapping your exhaust? Has anybody done any before and after comparisons yet?

I did it a couple of days ago, it really does make quite a difference in spoolup speed and how much boost I could make at lower RPM's, like cruising down the highway. Before at 2200 in OD going down the road, could only get to about 3-4 psi before it would down shift and now, I can get to the full 6psi of my low boost before it down shift. I was also able to brake stall it all the way up to 10 psi for a 4wd launch the other night, never done that before, especially not up hear in the clouds .

wow, 10psi brake launch. that would be sweet especially if you could hold traction.

That's great news!!! How many rolls did you use? Summit has a deal right now where if you buy 2 50' rolls and a can of paint you get the ties fo' free. That'll be nice to have a little more boost when rolling in 5th, because I'm too lazy to downshift sometimes.
