Not if the compressor is out of it's efficiency range. Then you'll get a bunch of hot *** compressed air. Why don't you just look at a compressor map for a GT67 and see where it'll be given your desired pressure ratio of 2:1.

I see this little project heading in the wrong direction from it's original intent quick. How about 10 psi with a manual boost controller and no intercooler or meth and leave it alone and drive it. Then when you get the 418 going again get stupid with it.

If this is your DD project, then I agree completely with MarK, except use the intercooler. 10 psi is PLENTY on the street.
Don't get so goofy that your DD ends up consuming all your time and is on jack stands in the garage for months and months at a time while you wait for back ordered parts for the rear end and tranny and need to tune tune tune, etc. Not that I know anyone who did that

how about stock pistons, concervative boost and tune, good rod bolts and drive it. Like I said get crazy with the 418. You would for sure be sick if you screwed up this one too. Hell, i'm getting sick of waitin gon my 408 kit and i'm thinking about cancelling the order and going another direction. Bottom line, is don't go crazy or you will be just like Turboberserker and myself and waiting on parts. But like you said, you are all too familiar with that.
