Need yall input on a heads and cam package for my 5.3. Stock motor with pace setter headers and off road y pipe p1sc procharger hoping to go to a D1 procharger. Needing to know if anyone has done the heads and cam swap. What cumbustion champer to use with boost and what cam would make the procharger work better.

 

A stock 243 head would be a good option. Texas Speed has some good oprion of ported 5.3L heads. For the cam about a 10* split and .1 higher lift on the exhaust. I was spec'd a 218/234 .602/.612 115+2 for my 6.0 that will be getting a D1 shortly.

 

What year is that 5.3... by the looks of the avatar it prolly has 799's already. You'd be surprised what you'd gain from a cam alone. If you have the 799 heads they are already pretty good...obviously there is better out there, but generally you get what you pay for.
