Try a taller set of tires, if your looking for track times to go down, keep boost. Turbo's def like to pull on a gear, to keep them spooled up.. A 2 step will def help with the boost out of the gate.. This is the main reason I stayed blown, was do to the converter, 410's and cam.. If your dead set on swapping gears go for it, esp if you can pick up mph.. Will the acceleration of more boost with less gear, be faster then more gear and less boost.. I have no idea what you guys are talking about with this rolling burnouts you speak of.

John...... exactly how many hot chicks do you know lol.. I look forward to this mans avatar

Back to my topic lol.. Yeah i love my wheel and tire combo and the truck is my daily driver so street time is where it lives 90% of the time, with maybe a few trips down the 1320..so i want to stick with my 29" tall tire (305/45/18 drag radials will be next purchase) I Love my 4.10s around town but under boost it has a blink of a 1st gear, boost drops in 2nd, and i feel like the 4.10s wont allow the turbo to stay in the "meat" of the powerband for very long at all. I guess ill find a set of 3.42's and give it a whirl..

3.42s DOit! Never understood why anyone would want 4.10s on a daily driver.

Oh yeah, they are on their way good sir, Question JenkesGTO, did you have to shorten your driveshaft on that 80e swap?? Thats the only thing im still unsure of on the swap on a Rcsb? I assume you would

I plan to put 4.10's in my RCSB later this month, mainly because I planned on putting a 4l80e in the next month. I might hold off on them now and install them w/ the 80e at the same time--- if you are having trouble w/ the 4.10s/60e/turbo

When I did my 80e swap just had to change out the tranny end of the drive shaft to mate up with the 80e. Cut cross member extend coolant lines. If you go with yank he can build you three bolt converter that will mate with your flywheel. I did opt for the hardened flywheel though, like $50.

i might try to get some rolling burnout pics this weekend if the weather is nice! I say we start a thread with these videos too! No weak burnout vids from a dig but roll like 40 mph and don't stop till the tires quit spinning
