Hold off on buying the MAF, it will gain airflow but won't gain you any more frequency in the tune. I would first try to get the coolest air into the filter as possible. Meth will help the IATs but cannot compensate for inefficiency at the blower at the speed it is running. If you are not worried about freezing weather during the summer than run 100% distilled water + water wetter for the heat exchanger.

I made an error on the blower speed. I have worked with 3 different twin screws. Anything over 2 times engine speed brings up the temps rapidly. My last effort on the 408 was with a 2.4. Anything on that combination over 1.8 times engine speed would just produce to much heat. I figured that on my built 408, a twin screw in the 3.8 range would have been about the right size.

I used to have really bad IAT's, and I'm not even running a intercooler. The best thing I did was adding methanol injection complimented by the Infamous IAT Mod, (moving the Intake air temperature sensor after the methanol spray) making sure the meth sprays at a downward angle. Then after that, no more knock retard!! hehe
