how much boost can a 411 pcm hande, stock without a modded program?

They can't read any boost stock.

They can only run boost till the MAF maxes out. Maybe 450hp. Then you need a custom OS programmed into it and a 2 or 3 bar MAP so it can see the boost and fuel for it. Guys have tricked them and hack tuned them for more boost but it's not necessarily the right way to do things...

stock - 0
2bar os - 15psi
3bar os - 30psi

If you can run more than that then you can probably afford an aftermarket EFI setup

Ppl have ran more then 30, some will only tune the last row for higher boost


Now ive heard of some running a 5 bar sensor on stock pcm but they are narrowing resolution and doing alot of scaling

Thanks for the input, im not trying to do anything fancy-to insane here , just the marine intake, and a manifold refrenced adjustable pressure regulator plummed in at the ds rear right before it goes back into the return line, and around 30 lb lnjectors
The old rajay I have is from an old sbc kit just a plain bare bones turbo, I also have an ihi about the same size.

I just got the wiring pinout info for the v6 411 swap, and I would really like to manage to keep the whole thing hassle free when inspection time comes around. im in DFW - an emissions county in N Texas.

A 2 bar MAP sensor and a custom tuned OS 411 PCM is not that big of a deal for any competent tuner and should be as emissions friendly as putting a turbo on your truck, lol.

But if your only running 30lbs injectors on a 4.3 then you're only gonna be in the mid 300hp for power anyway and a stock MAF should handle that.
