Default How much boost will a 5.3 take

I'm sure there's a thread here somewhere but I'm on my phone and couldn't find it. I've seen the 4.8s take 20lbs+ so I'm thinking of starting off with 10lbs and 93/meth.

What kind of luck has everyone had, I don't beat on the truck much and it's only drive on the weekend.

i"ve noticed that alot of people started out at 8-11# and the more kits that are sold the number are starting out higher i feel. it seems like most people with new kits are starting out anywhere from 10# and up to 15#. im gonna be running somewhere around a max of 20ish# here within the next week hopefullly i also beat on my truck not sure if that helps or not?

Lol. Read wrong. Bad habit add or remove letters while reading.
Happens slot when a type.
Anyway. With solid tuning, be simulat to the 4.8.
It all relys on the tuning and wear/tear on parts planning in using.

We have seen engines hurt at low boost, bad tuning.

If the tune is good, shouldn't have a problem with that. I'm at 10-11psi with 140k on my 5.3 and it hasn't missed a beat. But like said above, 5 psi and with a bad tune can blow a 5.3 pretty quickly.
