Default How Much Vacuum Is There At The Inlet Side Of The Turbo???

I WAS WOUNDERING HOW MUCH VACUUM THERE WOULD BE AT THE INLET SIE OF THE TURBO, JUST WOUNDERING IF THERE WOULD BE ENOUGH TO PULL CRANK CASE PRESSURE OUT IF I RUN LINES TO IT.

I WAS LOOKING TO PUT A FITTING JUST IN FRONT OF THE INLET SIDE OF THE TURBO IN THE INTAKE PIPE. THEN I WAS GOING TO RUN BOTH LINES OFF THE VALVE COVERS TO A OIL SEPERATOR TO GET THE OIL OUT THEN RUN THAT LINE TO THE FITTING IN FRONT OF THE TURBO.

JUST CUROUS IF THIS WOULD BE ENOUGH TO RELIEVE THE CRANK CASE OF MOISTURE AND SOME PRESSURE. THE OIL SEPARATOR WOULD HELP WITH DETONATION, JEGS HAS GOT ONE FOR CHEAP.

WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK???

JUST LOOKING TO RELIVE THE CRANK CASE WITHOUT A PCV AND THROWING ALL THAT OIL INTO THE INTAKE OR HAVING SOMETHING FAIL THEN PRESSUREIZING THE CASE AND HAVING OIL CONSUMPTION ISSUES

That's what I did. I'm not sure if it actually pulls a vacuum, but I don't seem to get any excessive crankcase pressure.

When you use the stock air box, we install one under the stock filter location.

Yea it will do that.. The amount of vacuum will greatly depend on how clogged the filter is.
Just check it from time to time to confirm no serious oil is building up in the inlet...

Depending how much CFM the filter is rated at, how clean said filter is, and how much CFM the turbo is rated at... you certainly can have vacuum... enough to pull oil out of the turbo cartridge through the seal let alone the crank case. That appears to what happened to me... had a filter rated at 1600cfm that looked fairly clean but apparantly was dirty enough to cause enough vacuum to pull oil... weird cause I had oil dripping from the inducer bore but no standing oil at all in the compressor housing itself... just a VERY thin film. FWIW, my crank case is vented to atmosphere... which is what I recommend.
