Default how much will the 6.0 handle?

hi guys im gettin the truck back next week with a 6.0 in it and they built the tranny while the motor was out. so im gettin a 6.0 with a built to the max 4L60. the 5.3 had a lowerend knock that i didnt like so i pulled it b4 it got bad. so if anyone needs any parts off a 5.3 let me know. but what i was wondering is what will the 6.0 handle? how much boost? and what kind of hp should i have out of this package with the turbo? they were going to put a cam in it right away but the tech at sts said that the cam in the 6.0 is perfect with for the turbo so they didnt touch that and other than alot of tuning it should go really well. but please give me your thoughts? thanks
Mitch

You need to try and search this topic. It has been wrote about so much you might not have time to read it all. Not tryin to blow you off, I just can't offer anything that has not been covered three times. Good luck.

The 4L60e will go before your engine. If you plan on running mad boost a 4L80e swap would be prudent.

Yep you should get a tranny swap before you run any boost.
6.0 can handle alot of hp IMO you should get some ARP rodbolts, your tranny will give up when you get to high hp soo you should think about that. I went through 3 4L60E and the same BS happens everytime.

keep the 60 if your hp goals are below 500 to the ground. Much more than that, you should plan on an 80 when the tranny goes.

Is the 6.0 an LQ9 or an LQ4? That will make a noticable difference in the 'how much boost' question.

3 personally here, thats why my truck has an 80e in it now

With 35" tires, a 6.0 and boost your trans isnt going to last long at all I dont care how well it is built. You either need to back down your power goals or you need to swap to an 80e.

Do you know what it came out of?

If you have a vin, the 8th digit should be an N or a U. N= LQ9, U = LQ4

If you've got the heads off, flat top or dish pistons? Flat top = LQ9.
