Interesting.... I have an Alky Control kit and if my battery goes dead, it will trigger the meth pump on. I didnt wire it or install it, but I do know when the voltage drops, the meth pump will turn on.

I caught most of the tmes this happened because the meth would leak from my airbox and there would be a puddle underneath the truck.

Sorry to hear bro...

weird! How does that work? Maybe I should just shut mine off when not in use? The AlkyControl box does have an "off".... still don't know how that's possible to start pumping at low voltage, where's Dewmanshu with the answer?

I started taking the engine out last night.I'm going Monday to pick up a 2005 LQ4,I heard the 2005's and newer have a little better internals.

I hope my cam, springs and push rods are fine from my broken 2002 LQ4!

I think I wired mine to where the key has to be in the on posistion to work. Instead of power all the time or one click forward. I also installed an off on switch inline with the main power source for the controller.

What did that LQ4 run you in Delaware? Over here in the SF Bay Area, a decent LQ4 runs $750+. A LQ9 is $1k+.

Damn that's a shitty way to blow a motor. Do you have a pic of where the meth nozzle is in reference to the intake? I plan on putting mine below the TB so if it does run wild it will flood the cold side piping and not into the intake. Not sure if that will help at all once the engine starts cranking but...
