Yeah you can turn off the SES light for the codes, but make sure it sets one of those 3 codes.

ok so you are using a 2bar os? your mac should have been set to fail from the get go. just set the codes to "no light" and mac fail to 0. thats all you have to do with a 2bar os via hpt.

Correct, i'm on the 2bar OS with the maf failed, however you just can't remove it with that alone & be fine as i've tried. I think it needs the AIT signal, or at least disable it as there are few table that us AIT to determine mapping. I'll be home soon and update this thread what I did when I get that AIT sensor wired up.

yes, you should use your IAT sensor, its used in fueling calculations for speed density. Just get the 5 wire to 3 wire MAF harness so you can split out and use an external threaded IAT sensor. Then you can completely ditch the MAF (although I would keep it, and let it stay failed so you can track airflow changes on back to back runs for testing, like your intake manifold testing ).

Racetronix - MAF Adapter 3-Wire + IAT > 5-Wire GT
