Ice in the Radix tank or bigger tank?

Re ac/htr xchanger idea: I've read this idea before and I think the trouble was an engine uses 1000cfm while the cabin ac can't cool anywhere near that volume.
In the past on my truck I have used a Vortech i/c to a larger xchgr to a Mezierre 1" 20g/hr pump to a 3 gal tank back to the i/c. I added sandwich baggies full of ice which can be changed after every run. Now I don't bother with ice, I use n2o - cooling and hp.
