Ideal single turbo size...
I was planning on a twin setup, but will start out with a single to get the project going faster.
The truck will be running a 5.3 for now, but I have a forged 347 lined up soon down the road.
What would be the ideal size to run on a single? I was thinking low boost on the 5.3, and turn it up on the 347. I would love to see 500+ on the 5.3, 650+ on the 347
There will also be a tiny bit of nitrous on the bigger motor.

really depends on your budget... I think an MP T76 with small exhaust side would work well on a 5.3 for sure, then just get a new housing for the 347 and be $$$ ahead. I ran an MP T-70 with .96 a/r exhaust on my 5.3 AND on my 347 when I first installed it. The boost came almost instantly with the 347... I just sold the 70 and will be picking up a Turbonetics MC-78 with an F1 wheel and either .96 or 1.1 exhaust... I'm shooting for north of 650 though... much farther north...

I can get them and at a good price If your on a budget, like Silver-mod-o said, a MP T76 would work well too and is a fair bit cheaper too. I have a MP T76 with a .96 a/r housing on i my truck now, haven't really hit the limit with it, but I think 600-650 rwhp is quite do-able .
