Default Idler Pulley question

I am looking to upgrade my idler pulley that came with my blower kit.

I currently have an idler pulley that measures 3'' OD / 76.1mm,

To get my HD tensioner in the middle of its travel, i need to get a 1/2'' shorter belt,

So instead of buying a shorter belt i thought of getting a larger idler pulley.

To gain 1/2'' i would need a 90mm idler pulley.

Where do you guys suggest buying one and is there one better than another to get ???

Or should i get a 100mm and then buy a new belt???

Belt wrap is damn good as is on my blower pulley,

Thanks for the help!

I would go with a new pulley... its prolly cheaper than a new belt. Unless you are replacing the idler that is part of your s/c kit. Then a belt might be cheaper. Do you have an idler thats factory to the truck that you could change? Those dayco idlers are pretty cheap. Keep in mind too... if you are liike me and keep a spare in the truck, then you would need a new spare belt as well.

Thats funny I found it with the search function..... Dumbass....

haha. I believe they are the same as stock but i am not sure. That link has Part#'s for the Gates pullies. I found both the 90mm and 100mm on amazon. I am not sure what I already have on mine so I need to check then take some measurements to decide if I am going to go with larger ones or not.

While I personally use the Gates 100mm piece, the Dayco equivalent is 89055.
