my IAT'S are good but my 6 speed tranny never get below 200 while towing even with the 40k cooler...i see that these trannys run hotter then the 65's and 80e's towing.

Damn that's pretty warm. Are you running a higher converter? Are you happy with the blower for towing over the turbo? What kind of mileage do you get? Sorry for all the questions but very few people actually use their trucks as trucks on here.

stock converter...love the blower over the turbo for towing..i just believe its the terrain here south of san antonio...very hilly hardly no straight hiways and me trying to pull 5800 lbs at 65 or better....i get 9 to 11 mpg average about 10 but only average 13 with no trailer....vac with no trailer runs around -8 to-11 and pulling trailer runs +2 to -3 so the truck is being worked for shure.

You think its from the constant shifting?
or does the converter never lockup?

The only things i know of that are gonna create heat is the pump, torque converter, engine heat/trans cooler inside radiator or slipping clutchs..
It just dont make since that they run that high temps..

shifting often is one culprit but even locked yesterday with no trailer on the interstate cruise control at 80 and heat was 105 outside my tranny temp stayed at 190 on a 35 mile run and i just cleaned all the butterflies out of my radiator, intercooler and tranny cooler so they were all clean before the trip.most days no trailer it will run 176 to 180

The 6spd in my 2500 Suburban runs right around the same temps under the same conditions as bud8fan has described above. Even stock my trans. ran right about where it is now with the intercooler in front of the tranny cooler.

Just downloaded the instructions for a 2007 6.0 Maggie. They don't pin the crank dampner...did you guys do that on your install? One nice thing I verified with a call to M was the stock fuel pump is fine for 6psi of boost. One thing I don't have to fool with.

I did not pin my crank either, I am right at 8-9psi and running stock fuel pump going to go back to stock injectors as they flow more than the purple/pink boschs that came with the TVS.
