Default Installing the meth kit tomorrow

Got some brown boxes from AlkyControl, looks to be a slick looking kit

Couple questions though...it may be a couple days til I can get my hands on some meth, is it cool to run the system without anything in the tank? I'll obviously pull the power after ensuring that it works, but my concern is boost pressure going backwards through the meth nozzle. Is that going to cause a problem?
Also if you guys wouldn't mind posting up some pics of your install, I'd appreciate it! The pics in the instructions are poor quality, I can't tell where the pump is mounted. After poking around in the engine bay, the driver side frame rail looks to be a good spot. Lets see what yours look like!

I mounted my pump on the inside of driver's frame rail. When you put the plastic skid plate back on it completely covers and protects it. My alky controller is behind the plastic removalable panel for center console right next to subwoofer. The on/off switch and dial I mounted in glove box.

I wouldn't think the boost pressure coming through the nozzle would be an issue for you. Take plenty of pictures if you can, I have been considering doing this myself.

As a cheaper alternative, some run windshield washer solvent thru it. Nice pics.

I'm going to stick with straight meth. There's better timing gains to be had with 100%, and I need all the timing I can get at this point. I still drop to 11° at WOT.

Congratulation on getting a very high quality kit. I don’t know if things have changed over time, but beings you’re planning on using 100% methanol, it would appear that you made the right choice in companies, as at one time Alky Control was supposedly the only company to have a pump that would handle 100% meth.

Whatever you do, once you have your tune nailed down, don’t decide to flip between 100% and various combinations of mixtures. I always use a 100% as well beings its so easy to come by here, but I’ve run low on methanol in the past and substituted some washer fluid as to apposed to nothing and it would go a little lean doing so.

That tank is cool. What do you do with washer fluid then? He must have upgraded kits for NNBS trucks. He told me he didn't offer in tanks when I did mine. Looks good......

I just thought if ya wanted to try it out, u could tinker w/. some washer solvent til ya get your meth mix at your doorstep.

Now, where's that pesky Cobalt? hehe

How did you mount the pump to the frame rail?
