Intercooler piping heat wrap
Well tonight I installed the heat wrapping from DE onto my intercooler return piping. The IAT's on average were 5-7 degrees F cooler. Eventually the heat soak set in and brought the IATs up to 120F but it definitely kept it cooler longer. Im going to try to find better insulation. After stop and go driving, the outlet end tank feels very cool. I believe most ofthe heat soak is in the IC piping up to the intake.

Outside temp was about 85. The thing I noticed about an FMIC is that if your are sitting in stop and go the heat soak sets in. yesturday I had heat soak up to 135, once on open road it always drops down. So if it starts at a heat soaked 135, typically at the end of the run it would drop to 100. If you set she fans to manual on, you can get it to stabalize at 110-120 on the hottest day.
Next I will try some intercooler fans!
