Intercooler preferences
I've been using alky to control my IAT's for a while now, but I'm considering throwing an intercooler back into the mix to use as a failsafe and to lower my IAT's further since I'm maxing out a D1SC. My question is does anyone have a preference based on real world tests as to brand, design, psi drop, flow. Apply to both A2W and A2A intercoolers.

I'm not positive of the final nozzle size since my tuner was playing around with them when I wasn't there. I run a single nozzle right now at about 150psi with my procharger churning out 17lbs of boost and I'm seeing IAT's around 130 degrees. I'd like to get that down to around 90-100 degrees.

I've been thinking about doing the same thing. Getting rid of the weight and added plumbing/complexity of an IC setup. I'm sure with enough meth you could get below ambient IAT's. But how much meth is the question?

Well with the old turbo set up, a cheap intercooler, and meth, my IAT's were ambient at WOT for the whole run, around 8 above ambient during cruise. I wouldnt see where a pricey intercooler would be worth it, unless your really trying to get every horse possible.
LS1 tech would probably have the answers your looking for maybe

IIRC, 27"x11"x3" is the size of the intercooler that tucks between the frame rails with no mods. You can find them on ebay with 3" inlet/outlet for around $125. I have no personal experience with one YET, but lots of people on this site run it and like it. It's what i'll be using for my build...

I've toyed with the idea of adding another nozzle to get my IAT's down, which would probably work, but if the system fails while I'm on a pass I'm screwed!
