Just bought a Trick Stage 2 Kit – any input, tips or tricks?

Bit the bullet and called Rick. Stage two kit with open dump, turbo blanket, thermo-sleeve, extra wide-band bung and the MAF welded for my 09 1500 4x4 4L60 ext cab short box flex fuel truck.
I’m very excited to see how it goes together, reg drives and under WOT pulls. Right now with a dyno tune, Volant intake and muffler - I’m right under 300 rwhp. I’m shooting for a daily 400wheel on 93 pump.
Any tips of tricks you guys have for me before the install?
I’m going to replace both heater hoses with new 5/8.
Put a check valve in the PCV line to keep positive pressure outta the crank.
I have tr6 plugs in it now, should I go with the 7s with a 6-7psi?
I have the line pressure increase and the tq management pretty nasty ( it chirps 2nd once in a while)… should I get the vette servos also? Do the servos do the same thing as increasing the pressure? If I should upgrade, should I get both the 1-2 and the 3-4? And where should I order them from?
I am having my tuner tune it with his HP tuners, he has a lot of experience with FI LS motors.
Should I wrap the manifolds and crossover?
What port do you guys connect your boost gauge to?
Stick with mob1 oil?
What am I missing guys? Any help is appreciated.

Lay the kit out on the shop floor prior to doing the install. Look all parts over and call me if you have any questions. You can install the inter cooler first without any down time on the truck. The install will take a solid weekend once you start pulling the exhaust off.
I’m going to replace both heater hoses with new 5/8.
will look clean.
Put a check valve in the PCV line to keep positive pressure outta the crank.
good move

I would think Tr6 will work for your application.

sorry no help here on this one.

I would not wrap the crossover. You might get some thermal boot sleeve for the plug wires. YOu are already getting the blanket and a wrapped down pipe. The rest of the heat is in the same location it was before going turbo.
What port do you guys connect your boost gauge to?
Passenger side of the intake under the engine cover. There is a vacuum port with a plastic cap on it. Just twist cap off. This will be the source for everything. Gate, BOV, gauges etc.
Stick with mob1 oil?
Yes, full synthetic
What am I missing guys? Any help is appreciated.

U are wrapping the down pipe for me? Awesome!
I will def get the thermo sleeve for the wires and plugs. Last night I was looking around the engine bay and noticed a couple other things.
1. Do I have to modify the oil dip stick, tranny dip stick, oil filler tube?
2. Getting to the firewall for the hoses is gonna be a BBBBBB
3. the oil feed part next to the filter does not look like the one in the GMC install. It felt like a cover with no ports or threads or anything. Two bolts hold it in place. Does the kit come with the adapter/fitting I will need to connect the feed line?

Thanks again Rick, I cant wait to get this thing going. Im going to the dark side with this project. Im a nitrous mustang man and now selling the car and boosting my chevy truck.... these are the times that try mens souls =]

It actually goes together pretty easily. I got to the point I could put the system on in just a couple of hours.
Make sure your oil drain is above the oil level.
Get the block for the feed line from Rick if you dont want to drill and tap what you have.
reroute your heater hoses along the fender to keep them away from the heat.
slide the down pipe in from the bottom before bolting on the log manifold.
leave everything a little loose till it is all bolted together then tighten it down once you are at that point.
Save up for a transmission cause yours is gonna tell you thanks for playing!
If you have any questions definetly call Rick cause he has exellent customer service.
