I don't know how much its gonna help my iats but I'm building a custom sheetmetal scoop from my factory fog light holes to the bottom side of my airfilter in the stock location. Only thing that's holding me back from finishing is my welder broke down.

Install stock or aftermarket air box. Route inlet from turbo to air box. You can cut a hole in the air box in the front to match the area behind the head light. And/or cut the front bottom area out and route another duct down inside the front inner fender.
Or
even install the air filter there like we did here a few years back. Took the stock mounting plate. Cut a 4" hole and routed tubing to the new filter location.
