Back to the topic... this is a Kenne Bell thread.

Sorry we bore you However if you refer back to several of your posts you are comparing the two (Magna Charger / KB) quite a bit. So to be fare, it is not just a Kenne Bell thread, looks more like a comparison by none other than you. If one cares to compare, one should expect rebuttal. Happens to me all the time

Default Tuning for warmer weather

I've been noticing that the combo is starting to go rich again towards 10:1 whenever I get into boost. Most tuning was done with temps in the 50-60 degree range. With it being 70-80 lately I'm going to have to tune it again. I guess the tune just can't compensate for the thinner air.

I guess this is kind of what speed density only is like. I do like the MAF since I get the advantage of the MAF tuning adjustments as long as I stay out of boost. When I get into boost... I gotta make sure its right. I guess its time to make the AFR gauge permanently mounted.

I think its a good idea to go ahead and look into the 2 bar tuning software set up from HP tuners as well. I know I was going to go there anyway... just figured I had more time.

Charris- Are you running a SD tune right now? I thought that was what you were running already.... Maybe not.

On a side note how did the tuning on the 60lbers work out? How bad were they? Looks like I am going to have to do the swap.

I'm still running the MAF... but with it maxing out so early in the low 4000 rpm range it ends up not really know how much air is flowing in the upper rpm area. So fueling in that range is by PE table only. It just isn't 100% accurate. So I have to fudge the numbers in the PE table until the AFR is where I want it.

The 60s run great as long as you have at least a small cam and the blower and or headers. I set my Injector Flow Rate table to be around 72 and all is well.

have you tried the larger maf you said you had? Also, how much louder is your truck now compared to a stock h2? f we use a camaro exhaust for comparison, is it like a stock exhaust versus a hooker chambered or more like a comparison with a loudmouth?

I would catagorize it as a F-body with a cam, no cats, and a loud mouth at high rpm. My H2 sounds like a big diesel at idle. It sounds healthy at cruise but screams at anything over 3500 rpm. A stock H2 is quiet.

I have the MAF but want to test it when it will matter. Once I uncork the exhaust, the MAF will be the biggest restriction and will show a good gain from the MAF only change.

Default H2 shake down runs 13.95

Posting from track...

Running 10 psi average with 11 to 12 at the 6300 shift.
Launching at 3000 rpm. Warm day mid 70's.

60 ft= 2.009
1/4 = 13.955 @ 98.6

No N2O and it still has cats installed. AFR was 11.0- 11.5.

Next step >>> remove cats

BTW... removing the cats was worth 3/10's or so last time around on the Radix. Maybe more this time

Also one thing to keep in mind this was tuned on Canadian 91 pump which is not the same at US 91 pump. I tuned the truck and it is only running 14-15 degrees of timing at boost.Anything more and the truck would knock. This is typical to what I see on other blower trucks. Our gas uses a different octane additive that will ping way easier than the US gas. I detune alot of stock magy tunes due to this. Meth on this truck would be worth 70hp at the wheels easy. Oh and the 22's don't help. The truck is sold already so meth might be going on sooner than later.

Again, someone that has put a combo together that THEY are happy with, what more can a guy ask for?
