Although th A2A does an excellent job, I think the A2W would be more efficient. Someone needs to try that. The manifold mount SC's are more prone to heat soak - Thats why I went to the off manifold setup and it has worked out very well.

I agree - I think the ideal setup would be off-manifold with A2W.

To get really good intercooling with a manifold mount, you'd have to put a larger intercooler under the blower, which unfortunately would likely raise the blower and necessitate the use of a hood mod.

This is exactly my set-up and it has done a great job so far. I really want to find a larger capacity heat exchanger as this one pass xchanger is going to be to small for the summer i fear. But for now, its done a really good job. Ambient temps around 50* and my cruising IATs are about 75*. The really great thing about this A2W setup is that when i punch it, the IATs go up about 2* then fall about 5* before the end of the 1/4. Same situation before the I/C would have me pushing 225* easily. Here is my sidemount Whipple with the top mount A2W intercooler setup.....there is a butt load of pics in this thread too....

JamesBond that setup looks kickass, I really like that polished case. Cant wait to see some dyno #'s and some track #'s.

so no one has bought the A2W intercooler that comes with the kit. KB.Net just put it on the market like 6 or 7 mounths ago. I had to constantly keep calling them about the intercooler, because I saw it in there mag. Article.They did a article on Silverado 5.3L called the Red Brick. With out any major modification they made it run 12 in the 1/4. But that truck had there A2W before it ever came out, which **** me off.
