Kenne Bell Supercharger Numbers???
How many horses can be had when adding the new Kenne Bell Manifold-mount supercharger kit to a 2006 Z-code 5.3L with 9:1 compression? The engine is completely stock and I'm mainly looking for the boost in torque since it is a truck. What kind of torque curve do they offer?

BIG and FLAT... not much of a curve at all really
I've just now heard of a place in Seattle that might be able to accomodate my AWD dyno need. I might be able to get some numbers soon... but they won't really help you as mine is a 402.
You can make as much boost/power as you want if you go with the Kenne Bell. They have 3 sizes to suite your needs all available now. I'm running the 2.8 liter blower.

Right now I'm interested in the numbers for the standard kit with stock boost settings and I believe the stock blower that comes with the standard kit is the 2.6L version. My truck is a 2006 GMC Sierra RCSB 5.3L E85 w/ 4L60E and a G80 diff. Right now I'm looking to add useable torque and make it a blast to drive. I'm planning on upgrading the rear with and eaton and the trans with shift kit/ sonnax servos.

The curve is going to look the same... just a little lower numbers than the 2.8's. Basically, you can make as much power as you want with the Kenne Bell*. All the power curves look alike for these blowers. It's a function of the type and size.
*Assuming 850-1000 engine hp is enough for you.

CHarris is the only person i know of outside of the KenneBell INC. that has a manifold mounted KB on their truck and a he said he has a 2.8 on a very high flowing 402, so there is some comparison but not a whole lot
imagine it is a radix on their just ALOT more efficient (larger compressor and more efficient design)
you may need more mods to your trans and you may not, just depends

I also want to put a full-length headers with 3'' y-pipe with a 3'' aerochamber muffler exiting in the stock location. Should I go directly to Kenne Bell to get the kit or is there a better place to purchase the kit??

Is there any problem with belt slippage with the KB superchargers? That's exactly what I'm looking for is an extremely flat torque curve to get the truck moving and keep it moving. I know the twin screw will put more stress on the lower end than a turbo, but i've heard of people running over 10 psi on the stock shortblock without any problems. Whats a safe boost limit for the stock shortblock?
