Would an LS3 qualify? I'm real happy with mine, but it has that TVS2300 thing on top. It makes good power on mild boost. If the LQ4 in my truck ever scatters, I'll redo it with l92/ls3 heads. They might lose a little low end with a centri blower. The TVS doesn't allow that "lack of low end" problem.

I have a Lq9 W/l92 heads and my compression is around 10.5/10.8-1

people have said that the L92 head has a thin deck which might be an issue with boost. But I bet you would blow a stock piston b4 you would lift a head

the casting of the heads that mates to the block is 'thin' possibly causing it to lift underboost. This is why the LS9 uses different heads, plus some other tricks but for the most part I think you would be fine with OE heads + Boost if you have OE pistons and keep the boost where they will not explode. but if you go past 12-15 PSI w/o alot of meth, then I bet you will lift or destroy your pistons...unless you are TJ from MI who can queeze some sick #'s out of turbo's with OE parts

dunno about the l92 heads but i run the ls3 heads, the deck thickness if not mistaken is 7/16 which standard heads are 1/2. milling the heads lets say .030 with a 040 gasket on a lq4 should get you to a round 10.5.1 or close to it, what was mentioned to me anyway
