Damn Rodney... When did you kill a 4.8L? And now bent some rods, what kind of timing you running and yes anytime above 20psi extra fuel to keep that top ring happy is a very good idea.

Any case sorry to hear it, big picture glad your ok and nothing happen to the truck itself.

I just put a hole in my block with re use gaskets.....

This is the third engine I have resused my ls9 gaskets on...been fine so far. But its not like the other 2 had a ton of miles on them

damn, you cheap bastard! haha

re using them on a $50 motor is one thing, but a fully forged 402 i think id splurge and spend the extra $80 on some new gaskets! haha

Where did you hear that the internet. They cant put anything that isnt true on the internet. Here comes my date hes a french model this came to mind when I read this. Personally 90 bucks be cheap insurance

Atomic is using them fir the third time. I ran the truck one day a couple times to realize I needed to pull it back down. I will probably get new gaskets but this is my third set in two months. Crap is getting old. Oh yea, I have used ebay studs four times now. They work great.
