I've been buying cams, pistons, converters, etc from Jarrett for 7 years now. Won't find a more helpful, and knowledgable guy. He's willing to tell you what he knows, and I've never been let down or disappointed with his products or suggestions. Not to mention, he can get you a cam to do whatever you want, doesn't have to be the "triple 12."

It all depends on what you are doing and looking for. The triple 12 cam is designed for the mild to moderate 4.8~5.3L in a heavy truck that wants great drive ability and street manors with snappy low end tq yet still have a huge HP improvement over the stock truck cams. It was not designed to be a dyno shootout champ camshaft. The larger cams can look better on the dyno but the track can tell a different story... If I were going to be doing a dyno competition with a cam in the 220's id want to at least bring the JFR 218, or 221 to the table lol But at the track with a tight 2600~3000 ish converter and footbrake the little 212 might still take the cake...

Many look at Dyno numbers, not knowing that more hp doesn't mean you go faster/quicker. Just means you dyno'd higher.

Yes and also have seen where dyno shows power leveling off or dropping at a low RPM but at track or on street engine wants to rev 1000 RPM higher. I think it has to do with how the dyno loads the turbo, and waste gates opening. Also a lot of these trucks are foot brakers and need the tq down at 3K rpm to get going more than a power band that carries up way high on dyno. When ever I was testing the larger cams in my truck I noticed it didn't recover near as well after the shift. As you know a light car with 2 step and bump box that hits traps at 7500RPM + is a whole different deal.
