This isn't true IMO. Many people have gained 100~ rwhp from a Z06 cam swap on turbo lsx motors, I've personally seen many setups do this in 5.3's. I believe Parish also did this in his 5.3 project car and made around 600rwhp. Worth the few hundred it costs.

I just want the best possible combo... I know what I've got will work like I said, but if its gonna be sitting on the motor stand and easily swapped, why not make the most of it and put something better in it.

I'm 90% sure I'm going to swap the cam as soon as the motor shows up...

Thanks for making my point. Why spend 300-400 bucks when you can get a zo6 cam for cheap. By the way Mighty Mouse put over 1000 to the ground with a stock f-body cam. I switched from a f-body cam to a zo6 cam and picked up nothing at the track.

Here's my opinion on turbo cams... Descent lift (.550's) and duration (210-220's) with a 114+lsa and it's good enough, The actual difference between cams in these ranges and even a little bigger isn't gong to be more then 10-15 hp at the same boost. 10-15 hp on a turbo motor is only about 1/2 a lbs of boost. For me, I'd add 1 lbs of boost and make more power then a cam swap and it wouldn't cost me any time or money. It's all ready been proven that a cheap *** LS6 cam can make near a 1000 HP, so why spent a bunch of money on something that is not really needed???

I agree with KB. Instead send me and Kyle the 400.00 for the cam, we will split the money. I will hold the hood open for him while he turns the little **** on the boost controller. There you have it!, you will have double the HP as the cam would have given you for the same price .
