66k mile long block, I was planning of opening up the ring gaps, ls9 head gaskets, head studs and having a keyway cut in the crank.
I have both cams here to pick from which is the better choice?
I also have yellow ls6 springs and comp 921 doubles here to pick from
raceweight will be 3000-3200lbs. headers are 1-7/8
NOTE: this is a temporary motor to play and learn with. I already have another LQ4 here to build up properly with good sh|t.
ive also thought about doing nothing to it and letting it eat LOL

IMO no contest...LS9. Had the LS6 and loved it but you need more.

Of the two, LS9 for sure. If you're going to swap the cam anyway, I wouldn't use either. If someone gave me either one, I'd sell if for what I could get and go custom. On a 6.0L, there's no down side to a low to mid 220's intake, low to mid 230's exhaust, and a 115 to 118lsa with appropriate advance. Perfect manners and more power are there for the taking.
A custom cam is pretty cheap in the grand scheme of things. Lots of value for the buck right there.
3 to 3.2K race weight? Sounds like a fun project. Big boost just off idle in a light *** ride is all kinds of fun!

I agree with all of this. No doubt. Thus my reasoning for my cam specs. 224/236 115
