I can only speak for myself, but I've put around 30k on my ls6 spings. I have been as high as 20psi with the MP70 unit, but daily drive at 15psi and and track at 17psi. I shift low though with a 6600 fuel-cutoff. I'm sure theres power being lost due to seat pressure, how much though is unknown. Also worth noting with the 70mm, I picked up 100hp going from 10psi to 15psi, just shows the springs were not a huge factor at that point.

I guess both, I have the ls6 cam yellow springs and 7.425 texas speed pushrods so I am ready to install ...OR should I get stiffer springs since I'll be doing the labor anyhow, Or should I sell this package and go bigger. SMokeshow's post scares me , but foose's post make me think just throw it in there...

I'd like to hear a person with experience say, sell that and get a 215/215, you'll be so glad you did. Or someone say , keep that setup and push one more psi and have the same power.

Peace of mind is worth more than pieces of an engine, IMO. Not trying to scare you, but check out this pic if you're curious what results from floating valves..

Granted, I ran the LS6 springs for like 9 months and probably 6k miles beating on it all the time with no issues. But my experience tells me not to skimp just to save some cash, no matter how small the savings. Who knows? Maybe I got a bad batch of springs.

but I am going to up the boost SOON .10 to12 or so. I realize the last cam is large, but I run a 6.0 and my truck is a roll up window reg. cab with a roll pan. Its one of those snowball effects, I probably should get better springs, well , if i get better springs, I could get a better cam .... mmmm wonder how big???
