MAF and BOV

MAF and BOV
I'm in the process of getting my thoughts and parts together to add a front mount turbo setup on my 2500HD 6.0. I'm only adding this for towing. I tow 10,000 pounds and the truck does fine on flat land but struggles on hills. I'm planning on running 5-7 psi.
My question is what is the preferred method for dealing with the MAF and BOV? Where in the piping is the best place to install both?
I plan to upgrade my injectors does the fuel pump also need upgrading?

The radix would be nice from a stop but that turbo will be great when pulling up hills. Plus you should have lower IATs with the turbo over the long hill pulls than the maggie. As far as the BOV and MAF, you want the MAF as close to the TB as possible and my KB kit has the BOV down in front of the engine.

If you go turbo, I would defiantly run an intercooler and EGT gauge since you will be towing a lot. You will love the turbo because it will eliminate a lot of downshifting when going up hills.

I wouldnt want to put the MAF directly in front of the TB, in my opinion. Having it in the middle of a long straight run of piping is your best bet. You want the least amount of tubulence and a smooth flow of air over the maf so it can read as correctly as possible. Having it directly at the TB will create a tumbling air effect, right behind the MAF, at low and part throttle from the TB blade not being open fully. Plus, there would have to be a 90' of some kind right in front of it because of the lack of room in that area of the engine bay. Just my 2 cents here guys....

Oh no, Im not saying its not ok or correct to put it there by anymeans. Sorry if it came off that way. This is just how I have it ran on mine and it made it easier for Geoff to tune from how he told me to run it.
