Roger, mine has allway's done the same thing. Mine won't hold the boost though. Right after each shift, the boost level will go up about a pound to a pound and a half, then slowly come back down to normal as I run out that gear. Of course when I say slowly, nothing is really happening very slow, but it doesn't just instantly go up and fall off either.

Not a major deal just curious about it and wondering if it was telling me something like my exhaust is restrictive or its time for new heads or a cam or something.

As the size of the shot increases the boost spike will also increase to a certain point. We have seen a 4-5 psi boost spike during the spray with a 150+ shot through the MagnaCharger.

Roger im surprised you have put up with that heat pump for this long. I just got rid of mine due to i was tired of seeing 125* IAT just cruising. I went twins. One thing ive seen some trucks doing is making a bigger resevoir for the coolant. This keeping the over all circulating fluid cooler

Run the 1320 without nitrous and report back with scan!
I saw the same thing roger as your scan, but I certainly don't "remember" the extent of gain compared to what you received in boost. I will pull my scan from my 11.35 run to see what the boost increases. I was shooting 75shot form the hole fww. Also, I would certainly bring up(agree with others) the point of nitrous and cylinder pressure under load. Then add in all the smaller variables that have changed with the 80e, like rotating mass, lower rpm into next gear, yaddy yaddy.

yeah yeah yeah...
Alright, mine is no where as severe as yours. I had a ton of good cold air that day. I was spinning all 4 out of the 60'. On this run it dead hooked. Never mind the leaning out and rev limiter shutting fuel off...I am working on that as we type. (voltage...sigh)
kpa/boost rpm Gear
161.9(8.78) 3897 1st
161.9(8.78) 6446 1st
168.1(9.68) 5028 2nd
164.2(9.12) 5711 2nd
166.6(9.46) 6547 2nd
172.8(10.36) 5160 3rd
173.6(10.48) 5144 3rd
*at beginning of my run my IAT was 104* and at the end it was 151*.

Similar log. So the higher the load with gas and a maggie the higher the boost.
About the same climb in IAT's.
Good thing you had some race gas in that thing.... 23* timing and you're at a dip. 25* for most of that pass? The low timing in mine is what kept me from running a couple of strong runs Saturday.
