Sorry...........I didn't talk to Magna Charger. My dealer talked to someone who informed him the person that handled the tuning was in Michigan and the last I heard they were trying to contact that person and have them contact my dealer to talk about the issues and hopefully get another tune.
My dealer is East Texas Muscle Cars. Maybe he needs to talk to you??

is the 4000rpm a vehicle speed issue,
what gear are they using to dyno, if the vehicle
speed limiter is not overwritten in the tune it could be maxed out.
ie 3rd gear 4000rpm could be 100mph or whatever the stock speed limit is and it is shutting off fuel.

That is exactly what the issue is. It is maxing out on the top end limiter in 3rd gear @ 98 MPH. 1st and 2nd gears go to 5000 RPM. The Magna Charger rep called last night at 7:30 PM and is overnighting a new scanner with a tune in it. It should be here in the morning. He was a little upset that they sent the wrong scanner. The one he is sending can be updated via an email file later if needed. The handheld they sent with the kit has to be sent back to Magna Charger each time a change is needed. We will get the new tune in it tomorow and back on the dyno. He is leaving some of the adjustments open so my dealer can make changes as needed for a better tune. More later...................

Dang! Why didn't I think about that? My dealer has an assortment of pulleys already in his shop for Magna Chargers. I'm sure that will probably be a project in the future. I don't have a clue what size pulley is on there now. I acutally saw 6# of boost on my gauge today. It was 32 degrees here thsi morning. Maybe the colder air had something to do with it? Heck guys.................I'm in a steep learning curve here. Bear with me!

Yep, cold air will show a little more boost than warm air.

It's denser air being shoved into the cylinders.

I am talking from experience on two trucks now. 5psi is OK but, the blowers REALLY wake up past 7psi. When you get around 9psi it's like. The difference between going from N/A to 5psi and 5psi to 9psi is HUGE IMHO.

You guys are killing me! I want all the power I can get, but this truck has got to be reliable first and foremost. It's my daily driver and work truck for my consulting company. I can't afford to have it in the shop fixing things I break with too much HP!

Update................as "my" luck would have it, the tuner guy at Magna Charger was working on the new scanner to send up when his computer crashed and crashed the tunner along with it.
So...........according to my dealer, the tuner guy worked on breaking the code on the handheld that was sent with the Magna Charger and he is emailing a new tune to upload onto the handheld. This is starting to smell pretty ! I go to my installer at 9:30 AM tomorrow to install the new tune and head to the dyno. More later..........................................
