Default Magna Charger TVS 1900 Vs. Whipple Supercharger for 2007 Tahoe 5.3L

Looking at buying a supercharger for my 2007 Z71 Tahoe. I am torn between the two mentioned kits. Anybody have pros or cons for either? only mods to the truck are gm performance exhaust and intake.

Also, does anybody know of a good place to have one installed in North Alabama?

Magnacharger=best service, dependable, low maintenance. They're present on this forum....

Whipple....only a few guys on these boards run them.

What size whipple? Only kits I've seen have been 2.9L's which would be WAY overkill on a 5.3L. A TVS 1900 goes together with a 5.3L like fish and ice cream......

Thanks for the feedback. I am really leaning that way. Seems to be like a real quality product. My main concern is finding someone around me knowledgeable on the system and can install it. I am located in north Alabama but wouldnt mind driving somewhere that i can depend on to do a good job with the install.

you can do it yourself with simple tools. It's really pretty easy if your slightly mechanically inclined. A friend to help get it on top is nice.

I may try to give it a shot. The directions they provide seem to be pretty good. I have read through them and i think as long as i had the right tools i should be ok. It just seems a little daunting in the beginning. lol

I thought the truck kits were 2.3 and the camaro kit was 2.9.
We are build a 3.4L for one truck.

Correct, there are two 2.3L lysholm rotor set kits available for the 5.3, one branded by vortech and one by whipple.

I debated both for a LONG time and finally pulled the trigger on the TVS. Bot systems will make tons of power for our trucks, you won't be disappointed with either.
