With the right tuning even a D1SC can have decent low end. I'm working on an SSS that has a D1SC with a 4" pulley. It has a 2600 stall. On an off idle launch it will quite often spin the tires and is good for a 1.8 60' time this way. It has pulled a 1.78 60' though. I am excited about the 122 coming out though. Having the instant boost of the roots type blower and less heat would be killer.

Be an extremely short wait. My dynograph doesn't show much before 3000 rpms but it's over 400 lb-ft at 3300 and stays over 400 till 5000. Dyno'd again a few weeks ago after the belt slip was taken care of and made 477 lb-ft at 3500. HP would have been up there had the torque management not shut everything down at 4000 though.

interesting. 3500rpm isn't much of a wait at all for 477ft/lbs

Just currious how fast, or slow, it was spinning to have a 2lb jump in boost from 3k to max.

Also, I notice that the IAT's are scaled on the maggie vs whipple test but they aren't in this test. Do you have a graph with them on it or were they even recorded in this test?
Does anyone have answers to this question or do they not want to be answered? This goes along the lines that were stated before that the conditions and data were somewhat in the favor of the Radix.
I am a fan of the radix for sure, being a previous owner that has tuned it just about to the max and I loved it, I just want all the data that is out there possible. I don't descriminate. Unless she's fat!

A custom 3.47 pulley had to be made so it was exactlly 10 lbs @ 6500 rpm

I just do when I am getting paid to do so

So is that a 3.47 on the procharger and a 3.1 on the radix I am assuming?

Were the intake air temps logged on these pulls?

In case you guys are curious, I whipped up an overlay graphic of those two dyno charts. This nicely illustrates the differences and how different types of blowers react.

on a daily driver, I'd go with the roots style no question. If I were building a full-out drag vehicle that only lived at WOT and high rpm, then a centrifugal is the right choice.

Turbos, well turbos do everything better
