One thing to remember about the 2300 is that (unless they've changed recently) Magnacharger does not offer a GM truck kit with the 2300. They recommend and support the TVS 1900 all the way up to the 6.2 liter truck. Which means that you will have no warranty on the blower and you would not be able to buy their powertrain warranty either.

um... just talk to them. i originally ordered a 1900 for my C5 corvette (a kit they don't currently "make or support") and they offered a tune & full warranty. the only catch was that it would've taken about 4 months to make a one-off manifold for it. i just decided to get the 2300 instead (a kit they make but don't tune for )

Here is my take on Whipple. Great Blower but there salesmen guys are ********. They will tell you anything to get it out the door. You get one of there Blower and that is all you get no paper work not a screw bolt not one thing. I talked to them lots and even picked up a 305 but had to send it back after being told it wold work and it would not. The Blower they make are very very nice but do not think they will give you any info after the buy. I will be out there way next mouth and guess were I am going to make a stop at. They woe me $400 and I am flat going to get it. What a bunch of ********. Never **** a guy off that is going to be in your neighborhood.

Pretty good numbers here, and about what I would expect from the same engine with a TVS1900 set up properly. I think both blowers are awesome, but for a 5.3 and arguably a stock 6.2, I really don't think you can utilize the whipple to its full capacity. Which is why I believe both will make very similar power on safe boost levels.

well that was anti-climactic...
no numbers, you could barely hear the blower & couldn't even see it

I just had a shop here install the whipple 2.3l tuner kit on my 08 denali. The truck is outstanding now. Great power and I am pleased with the whole set-up. I am not sure where some people say that their service is not very good. As I had to email to get some specs off the kit once it was installed to help get it tuned properly and their service was very good. They immediatelly responded to my emails, and even sent me a copy of the instalation instructions via email since the shop that did the install did not give them to me. I would have to say it was top notch. I had one minor issue with shipping and that was that the heat exchanger got damaged but it was all taken care of without any delays.

My set up is 08 Sierra Denali with 3.42 rear end and heavy a$$ gm accessory 22's. I am getting 415rwhp and 428ft lbs. It is a little lower than some are putting to the wheels and I am sure some of that is the rear gearing and the heavy wheels. I am also only pushing 6psi of boost with the stock 3.625 pully as I wanted to stay as safe and reliable as I could.

I'm a twin screw fan. I have a Vortech twin screw (2300 lyshom) on my 5.3. As far as towing goes, my truck is a beast. It pulls a car like there is nothing there.

I don't think you'll be disappointed with the low down grunt any pd surcharger will give you.

The guys at Vortech are top notch in my experience. I have nothing but good to say about them.

BTW Headers really helped.
