I'm with Trever1t,
one step at a time, you may find that you don't wand/ need a new torque converter ( I like my stock one). and yes you are right the 80 will be much happier than the junk 60. I would get a shift kit, along with the radix. And enjoy. Then see what you need/want next....
AND FWIW. I bought on of those high-end B&M coolers only to have the bypass valve fail and the cooler plug. it nearly took the trans with it. IMHO, the stock one will do just fine, especial with a stock converter...

I bought an aftermarket cooler (the 40,000 GVW one, can't remember who makes it) had the bypass valve fail and it DID take out the tranny. Still have the cooler but lost the valve. Works great without it. .

Anyway yes, I would also recommend doing one mod at a time. It is more work but you get a feel of what you like and what you don't like. Also it's a lot easier to debug than adding a whole bunch of new stuff and then have problems, and not know where to start looking first.

That makes good sense. Does everybody agree that the shift kit is good from the start? What about the meth kits, from what I hear they help cool off intake temps. It was 81 degrees today here in Louisiana...you can imagine what the summers are like.

Meth/water will help keep your iat down. But a little word of caution, don't reply on meth for fueling if you don't plan on checking it every day. I would suggest a meth kit with 50/50 mix.... There are a few good set-ups around. I personally like ALKYControl..

Yeah, do the shift kit, do the servo, you already have a good cooler. Take it from there. You will want to start saving for that new trans if you want more from it.

You dont need meth until you've really upped the boost.

Like I mentioned I have the snow performance meth kit that taps into your whiper fliud reservoir that way you have a built in low level indicator and dont have to check it daily.

Nah, I wouldn't use it for fueling, just to help out the intercooler. I was actually looking up information on the ALKYControl kit today.
