well i got fed up of waiting and ended up driving down there on thursday to pick it up, now the truck runs good. but man that was a long *** drive almost 6 hours round trip during rush hour traffic.

thanks for the help joe, i was reading your post on the ssr forums and i was seeing you could fuse the ac press switch and it should stop the magnavolt from blowing diodes?can you elaborate?

What we have been doing is filling the A/C Pressure Switch with DieElectric Grease so the water doesn't lay in the switch head and short the 5 volt reference signal.

hmm, so this is the pressur switch at the top of the back wall on our trucks? the tank wrapped in alumin foil stuff? i know the switch is easy to change but the pig tail comign off you just cover in di electric or what?

unplug put some grease in the connector plug back in. i think i'm gunna do that to mine i was walking to my truck the other day and i could hear a clicking under the hood and once i popped the hood i felt the switch and that was where the clicking was coming from. i don't have anything close to chase's setup but i'll give the grease a shot.

I would have to look under your hood to see where they place it in the trucks. On the SSR and a few others it is right below the belt tensioner in the aluminum A/C line off the pump.

ok so its on the other pressure switch there is one on the condensor, and one on the actual pump at least that is where i think it is .

You will notice that the switch is put so that it acts like a cup and will hold water if it gets any on it. This is why the DieElectric Grease helps.
