Default Max Boost on 44lbs injectors

I am finishing up my front mount turbo. What would be the max boost I can run on my 6.0 using 44lbs injectors? I also have a set of 50lbs injectors I could use but i have to switch out the pig tails. What size should I use or what would be recommend?

Would and inline 255 fuel pump be enough?

It's more of a question of power really, not boost. Could you tell us some more about your setup (turbo size, is the engine built, heads, cam etc.)? What are your goals?

It is a front mount T-72 turbonetics w/4" down pipe, 6.0 lq4 w/rod bolts, proted oil pump, LS2 timing chain, 317 heads with a little work, 918 springs, pushrods, and cam.

I'm assuming this is for a pre-04', you should be good with a turbo'd 6.0L to about 6psi. By 8psi you will be well into getting lean at higher rpm.

When I pulled my 44's off I was at 7psi and was seeing 112-115% duty cycle at 5650rpm. The 60's I have now are at 59-60% at the same boost and RPM.

Sounds like your 44's belong in the classifieds

I say go with the 50's, but I'd rather see 60's on there so you could take advantage of that turbo a little more.

I've ran 14 psi with 44 pounders.

And lots and lots of meth.

Yeah, he didn't mention meth, so I'm assuming he's just running gas, so he'll need bigger injectors.

Strange... I have 44lb injectors in my 06' LQ9 and run ~9lbs or so full time. Besides an MSD Boost-a-Pump, my fuel system is stock. No pinging whatsoever, and my A/F (though I can't recall the exact number) is actually too rich, even at high RPMs. Meth is installed, but not injected.

As long as you have a good, safe tune IMO you'll be fine with the 44's.
