I've tuned a 5.3 to 760rwhp, it had a 70mm turbo, no nitrous. Also, 100 shot on a roots blower will add 2 to 3 psi, so if your at 10psi now, on spray you will be at 12-13psi. The nitrous makes it more efficient

Ps.. U won't bend a rod with a 100 shot, just don't detonate it

Do you have any idea how much boost you'll get from that setup?

I'm hopeing for 18 to 20 lbs.

What's your setup? 6.0L or?? Which blower set up?

Thanks, Jim

Thanks for coming with that. That's about the power level I'm shooting for ... for now and was unsure of. Being from the "old school" 800 to 900 hp (at the crank) from 323 ci seems like a totally unrealistic goal. When I tell my "old" friends about it they look at me like I"m crazy and stupid and and and and. And I look at them and I say see ya in my mirror!

You know Jim the LSx engines are still some of the best kept secrets, These old heads that grew up with Gen 1 small blocks cant understand how much power we can make with stock components .

Ive finally got my dad talked out of a big block for his drag car, gonna do a turbo LSx instead

If that is a 2002 5.3 it has the weak rods. Not sure of the power but tose bend and break at 10.50's/127mph in my 4850lb truck. Tune was spot on. Been 9.7/139mph with stock 04 up rods and still running fine. That's about 250hp difference.

If all your looking for is a smoke show and play on the street I think a 100 shot is a little overkill. My truck doesn't hook at anything below 60 and thats boost only. Maybe I just have shitty tires? Haha

Now that aside I'll be turning up the boost and spraying at the end of this season. Motor needs to last me through the points series

It's all in the setup, I dead hook my car from a 25 roll on a 900rwhp tune up, 45 roll I can get 1100-1200hp down
