i think the bsfc of alcohol is about 1lb/hr. just guessing 60gal/hr is probably in the 360lb/hr range? so only about 360hp worth of meth? i might need 2 pumps if those numbers are correct.
that would mean 8 m15 nozzles to support about 700hp. that doesn't seem right but it could be. then another 800hp worth of fuel system from the existing twin intake set up

I am not even getting close to the potential with my meth kit.
I just put it in and let her rip. I didn't know there was all this tuning that had to be done. I just turned it up until she started to bog and than I turned it down a little. I guess I have a lot of work to do.

How about just running E85? I would if could get it more readily. There a Mustang with 331ci motor making around 1000 RWHP on it on the turbo mustang board.

So what's the threshold for too much water when running a 50/50 mix? Other than getting on a dyno or being at the track to see performance degradations, when do you know you've got too much water going in? Will too much water cause a reverse effect on cooling?

I added meth to my previous 50/50 mix. I'd estimate its now more like 75/25 or even 80/20. I gotta say that my truck came to life. It's amazing how much power that added. My knock retard mode was 0 vs. -1 or -2 timing coming out.
My smt6 pulses my 1000ml meth spray bar 8ms per engine firing rotation. I guess at 1000ml, there was too much water going in due to the 50/50 mix. My truck is happy right now.
EGT's were about 50 degree's better from what I could gather but more testing needs to take place to state that as a fact. Least it wasn't 50 degree's more.

I'll be adding the Alky control meth kit this week and am wondering about the meth. Where can I get methonal other than in wiper washer fluid?
I think I've read here that the wiper fluid mix is 50%/50% mix. Is that correct?
Since I don't have tuning resources available except when Zippy helps me install the kit it sounds like I"d want to install my 2.8" pulley (rather than the 3"), build boost, not run a lot of timeing so the kr isn't a big concern and then run 100% meth.
Does this sound right?
Afterthought: I am installing Intercepter guages that have logging abilities so I guess I could have precise tuneing available after the install.
What meth mix do you guys recommend for this 5.3, street driven (not a daily driver) Radix, Dart 225 heads, comp cam 224/230, 581-588, 114, 90mm tb, extra large heat exchanger?

WRT to the tuning, as Parish said the biggest thing is to set up your meth (turn it up until the engine bogs, then back it off a tad), then redo the fueling to account for the meth. Once that's done, you can do the final timing pass.
I'd run 100% meth for all the reasons mentioned above.

i had a slightly diferent tuning method. i just turned it all the way up right off the bat and then pulled fuel till my wideband gave me the numbers i wanted to see. my kit starts pumping at about 8psi and i have the gain turned all the way up.
after geting my fueling close i was still runing about 11psi. i tried adding some timing and was able to add something like 8deg before i got any knock(14deg up to 22). that didn't give me alot of extra power so i cranked up the boost with the timing low and got to about 15 or 16psi before i got knock. i gained a ton of power right there.
