I had two 1 gallon tanks in my tool box. Towing a ~5k# box trailer from MS to KY i used over a gallon in the first 250 miles. Retuned and refueled so the meth would just start spraying 10% at 6psi and made the rest of the 1250 mile trip only using 5 gallons total.
It all depends on how you have the controller setup is how long it last plus how much your in boost.

I was using -30 WWF / VP1. 25/75 mix.
Every long hill i hit the IATs would start goin down and i had the W/A IC plumbed into the heater core. And being summer time when i made the trip the IATs never reached nor went above ambient. Made for some good gas mileage. I had just put the isky 215 cam in and the 76mm on the rear mount. Its been a few years but i think i averaged 15 mpg?
I know it was one MPG better than my brother in laws f150 and he wasnt pullin a trailer.

The Labonte Motorsports controller is about half the price of the Snow controller. I have heard that they are the exact same controller with a different label on it. They do look identical, and even use the same part number. I run one in my truck.

I have actually heard of another cheaper alternative to a controller. People have mounted a container that has an air tight cap on it to hold the water/methanol. They then route a line from after the turbo/supercharger to the top of the container. On the bottom of the container there is a line that runs to your air inlet before your throttle body (basically it has to be before pressure). It will inject water/methanol based off of your boost. There is nothing electrical to fail. I have not used this, but have thought about it quite a bit. Your PSI obviously isnt going to be that high, but it would be a cheap alternative.

Not sure of the accuracy, but I've run across this:

I went by that for a lil while. Just ended up gettin 5 gallons of supertech -30* WWF and 25 gallons of VP1. Premixed them and put a extra 5 gallons in my toolbox so after i filled my tanks id have spare for awhile.
Just make sure you use the same mixture of the same stuff, be consistent so your tune dont need tweaking.

Depends on how you drive is long its gonna last you. I have mine set at 7psi spraying the large nozzle. I can fill the tank go out and beat the **** out of it and not use but maybe half. As far as meth, I buy 100% meth by the 5 gallon drum and mix it 50/50. So for about $45 I get 10 gallons.

I think Labonte went out of business last year. Could be wrong.
