Default mounting air-water intercooler behind radiator?

anybody got any opinions on this? ever since i put elec. fans on theres alot of room in front of the motor. been thinking about intercooling my whipple and it seemed like a great place to put it. kinda like the way the intercooler is mounted in a buick grand national.

I Think if you put it behind the radiator then your trying to cool it with hot air.
In front of all the other hot things is better if you can get there. is it a pre fabbed cooler? can you mount it lower down by the skid pan, if your not doing any off roading thats a pretty good place.

I have the sts air/water in front of the rest of them.

My engine temps haven't changed.

Yep definitely don't want to put an intercooler behind the radiator, then instead of cooling the intake charge with ambient temp air you will be heating it with ~200* air. Bad plan....unless you're looking for a....

wait for it.....

interheater!

Oh man that's corny. I'm tired, is it 5:00 yet?

i'm talking about an air-water setup, not air-air. the actual heat exhanger will be behind the front bumper. come on guys, give me alittle credit, i'm not that duh-da-da!

I apologize for thinking you were duh-da-da, but your post did say "behind the radiator"

So what exactly is going behind the radiator?

That is a nice compact piece. I Think the 120* to 28* is a little far out. I dont think it's going to get below freezing. Hell, I'd use that for my A/C.. If you can make it as it's own little water system with an electric pump and have a closed loop from it to another heat exchanger thats getting cold air also it should be fine...
