Default MP112 LQ9 Pulley Size

I'm trying to decide which pulley size to get for my truck. I was wondering what size people are running with an LQ9 and how much boost you are making? Pulley boys offer a 3.1 thru 2.8. I'm currently running a 3.2 making about 4 lbs with the wrong cam. I plan on changing the cam but thought i'd try a smaller pulley first.

I would suggest getting a cam. The lingenfelter GT2-3 or the GT 7 are both great cams. then throw on a 2.8" pulley and you can make up to 9 psi.

Go ahead and get the 2.8 pulley you'll wish you did in the long run.

Get a Reichard Racing Ultra Grip 2.8"..... can you say, no slip? Had one on my LQ4 and loved it. and swap the cam out while you're at it.

My MP122 has a 2.8" pulley. It's on an LQ4 with 243 heads. Might have a little more C/R than the LQ9. I get a whopping 7 to 8psi. Might be a little more if the weather ever cools off. If your exhaust is restrictive and your cam mild, you might get that much with a 112. I wouldn't expect much more. The good news is that you'll be well into boost with very little pressure from your right foot. Makes the truck feel like a vette. Matter of fact, mine will outrun a lot of them. Not too many mustangs stand a chance either

Yeah Ben, let me know when your ready to sell that cam. I guess I'll get the 2.8. I checked out the Reichard Racing site. I guess you have to call in an order with them. Pulley Boys gets $75 for their pulley any idea how much they go for from Reichard Racing?

RR pulleys will be a little more than the PB puleys, but well worth it, billet aluminum with machined groves that grip the belt.
