Default MPT-76 on an LQ9 with a small cam

So I decided to do a turbo on my Silverado even though I said I was going to leave it alone originally when I bought it. I guess I also did an LQ9 swap with a cam a while back so most people have learned to just ignore me when I say I am done and not doing anything else.

So my setup before the turbo install was an LQ9 with the Vinci trucker cam, headers, catback, and a TBSS intake/TB. It made 360 rwhp and 366 rwtq in 2nd gear while it made 370 rwhp and 392 rwtq in 3rd. You could see the tires starting to wrap up in 3rd on the roller bringing the numbers down up in the higher RPMs on that pull. Every setup will dyno higher in 3rd but I am just stuck using the 2nd gear numbers for an accurate representation of the curve. https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...d.php?t=458842

Now I installed a KB Racing turbo kit with an MPT-76 on a 1.00 AR exhaust housing, 60lb injectors, and a 2 bar map sensor. Those are really the only things that have changed with the exception of the LS3 TB but I did that mainly for the stronger motor and it's effect on power will pretty much be nothing. It's going to be relegated to 7 psi only at this point in time as I still have the pretty much stock 4l60 with just a shift kit but I am working on some stuff for a built 4l80. The one thing that surprised me was how effective this setup is with spool time. Rolling into it on the freeway I am literally at 7 psi by 2400 rpm.

I was hoping to get it on the rollers today but it's looking like I am going to be too busy so it will be on the dyno in the next few days. Given my previous 2nd gear numbers at 360 rwhp it should make around ~520 rwhp at 7 psi. The one other difference though between my earlier N/A runs and this one coming up is that I also put on larger 33" tires which will definitely hurt the numbers a bit both due to their rotational mass and increased rolling resistance. So I guess I am hoping for just something over 500 rwhp. If I had a more street oriented wheel/tire combo on there it would be higher for sure.

Here are just a few pics in progress and almost done.

Wanna toss mine on the dyno again while you're at it?

Well it was too busy at the shop yesterday to get it on the rollers but I'll try to do that this week coming up sometime.

As of right now there isn't one and it's just running open breathers. I am looking for a good check valve to put on the intake side before hooking it up but can't seem to find one locally.

Upped the boost, added a meth kit, swapped to an 80e. I've done a few tune adjustments since increasing the boost. I put the meth kit on, and the night I had planned to tune for the meth, the rear end went and took the tranny out too. So the meth kit still has yet to be put to any use. I don't think the 80e will need much as far as tune goes.

This is your thread though, no intentions of jacking it.
