Default MPT70 on 6.0

I will be putting this on my truck and wondering what to expect. I tow alot and quick boost would be a good thing for hills/etc. I plan on 550rwhp on 8psi or so. I have a cam that peaks around 6k-6.2k. Will I still be able to shift the truck around 6500? Turbo has the .96 exhaust housing. I will be running meth as well. I believe I have heard people make 550-630rwhp with this turbo. I will try and do a writeup on the build when it takes place, I already have the turbo and parts getting coated, so I am commited to this turbo. Any input?

It'll run fine, a little small imo. I'm running a MPT76 w.96 and it's just right feeding the 6L.
Actually, I would mind stepping up to a larger exhaust housing, or maybe a larger turbo.

Don't worry, it'll spool quick on that truck.

A lot of trucks hit 530+ with 6L, 10psi and cam, so you'll be in the ball park.

i run a 76 with a 5.3 and it spools great, when i finish building the 6.0 i think i'll look for a 88 if the funds are their. So the 76 should spool quick for u.

I have a MP70 with my kbracing kit for my 05crewcab. If I can get home for longer than a day I'll start on the swap (fuel, 2barr tune, and gauges already done). All I wanted was 7-8psi out of it for towing and to help with the 35's. If the turbo isn't enough or starts building to much heat, I'll just upgrade to the MP76. Hopefully the Nitroplated Manifold and downpipe help out also.

i have that turbo on a 6l, works great, spools very quick (.96 housing). Mine works best shifting under 6000, but i don't know what cam you have.

i run a pt70gts, its a great size turbo for the application, i went 12.20 @ 111 at 12psi and street driving with towing is great, the only thing i dont like is how fast it comes into boost with the converter. i am looking at going much bigger to have some lag for street use, so its not in boost all the time. although it is a ton of fun to drive!! i d say go bigger, 76 to 80mm
