Im sure it can change based on the rest of the setup but the turbo cars Ive heard with open gates arent that loud. Just kinda sounds like someone took the end off an air hose once the gate opens. lol

If you are worried about a "sleeper" effect, that turbo will be spooling and give it away before the gate opens.

Also a benefit if you're having trouble with boost creep from too small a wastegate or poor layout design.
