and more with this... please excuse the nooblet question... would upgrading wastegates and BOV's make any kind of difference?? I'm trying to get details nailed down.

You dont want that big of a stall with a turbo.
I dont believe it will work like you think it will.


You want LOAD to make the turbo spool, thats why guys with 6spds need 2 steps to build boost off the line.

3.73's and a tight stall between 2800-3200 seems to be the ticket with turbo trucks.

Def. go with a good gate. Size of the W/G depends on how low of boost you want to run.

I have a JGS500 50mm Wastegate and a JGS 560 Blow Off Valve
These are TOP NOTCH quality products.
Probably the best on the market due to the engineering behind them.
The BOV is about 220.00 and the WG is about 360.00

You might be able to utilize a smaller gate and or BOV depending on your specs.
A big BOV is good, it prevents surging.

You ever figure out what Fuel system your goin to run?

Only if you keep your foot out of it. LOL The truck will be more fun to drive, which usually means more WOT time.

I got some input on a cam...

222/230 .588/.595 116

any thought/suggestions???

I really think my cam will bleed too much boost because of the valve events.

not yet... still working on the bulk of the parts, then I'll make the fuel system match.

no other cam suggestions???? I know all about the Z06 cam and how great it is blah blah blah.... bottom line is, I want something better.... let me know what you think.
