is my cam too much for a turbo?
i have a stock 5.3 w/ 243 heads(ls6), headers and the cam is a
its a 222/226 .581/.588 112lsa 0 overlap
i would like to do a turbo this fall but im affraid that i may have too much cam for a turbo... i only want to run 5-6 lbs of boost. when i talked to the rep @ sts his main concern was that the cam had 0 overlap which it does but he didnt know how it would act w/ a turbo
will it work ok and what things might i need to be worried about?

More overlap will allow more reversion when you are in boost. You also don't need a cam that large to flow the air you are after once you have a turbo. Try it, if it doesn't work out there are better cams out there for your application.

That cam is a bit large and not an ideal profile for a turbo, but its gonna run fine at 5-6psi. If you change it, you'll move the powerband around some and probably gain a few hp. At that low boost level, it would be minimal difference.
