Default My frown is officially upside down for a while

I have a nice big box here (1 of 2) and a nice wooden crate here (2 of 2) from Santa Clause. The nice big box has two little boxes inside that I am particularly happy to see

Permagrin as the STS twin install gets planned. It probably won't proceed too fast, as I still have 14 projects going on (and yeah, the fancy shmancy rear axle is still sitting on a tranny jack...), but I am pretty motivated to put these little devils on.

You should make a bunch of power . Over 1000 maybe? I can't wait to see the build either. Is your new axle a 9.5" FF 14bolt?

The new rear is a 9.5 SF 14 bolt with a detroit locker, 33 spline custom alloy axles, TA girdle, mikronited r&p (see Vinci's Mikronite page )

Should be kinda fun behind an FLT L5 80, no?

Wonder if that is the same one that was in my 98 Z71... it was a 14 bolt too... beefy but not quite 3/4 ton stuff.

I'll read up on the Vinci stuff... Thanks

The axle housing is out of 01-06 Crews and 03-06 1500HDs. Not as strong as the 10.5" full floater, no, but the local driveline shop said if I break this I've got more trouble on my hands than a broken rear end -- line a semi where the bed should be

According to them, it's built to handle double my hp goals.
